St Peter's Postcards.

I was looking at some old postcards of the church and thought it was about time they had some new ones. I spoke to Rev. Leigh Richardson who gave me his blessing and off to work I went. I recreated some of the old postcard views that have probably been photographed many times, but I wanted to keep them as a link back to those from the past with today's modern look. I also wanted to include the windows as I find these captivating, the detail that goes into these windows is unbelievable. I also wanted to create some views that haven't been seen before to put my own stamp (no pun intended) on these new postcard views. The first was The Tomb of Sir Rhys Ap Thomas, All the previous photos I had seen were either of the reflection in the mirror or from the side. I climbed on top of the partition and balanced on a four inch timber eight foot up this was tricky as there is a mirror hanging above the tomb but I managed to get it. The second exterior shot wasn't as tricky but involved hanging out of the gallery window opposite the church to get a different angle from the traditional photos.
